Town Resources

Welcome to the Town of Farragut!

Incorporated in 1980, the Town of Farragut offers premier recreational, residential and retail choices. Farragut embodies Tennessee’s “volunteer” spirit, celebrating achievements from top-performing Knox County schools to a beautiful community design resulting from high development standards. The Town of Farragut goes further to help residents and visitors enjoy more comfort, beauty and convenience while feeling closer to a real sense of community.

Outdoor enthusiasts can enjoy more than 15 miles of greenway trails as well as the numerous amenities offered in the Town's four parks. You can also make your visit a weekend getaway with a choice of eight hotels/motels.

If you are considering a move to the Farragut area, this section of our website also provides essential information about local utilities, garbage pickup, emergency services and much more. Farragut is ideally located for commuting to Oak Ridge, Knoxville, Maryville, Alcoa, Loudon County and the McGhee Tyson Airport. In addition, access to recreational opportunities such as Tennessee's waterways (7 lakes), the Smoky Mountains, the nationally acclaimed Zoo Knoxville, numerous cultural outlets and tourist areas such as Gatlinburg, along with award-winning Knox County schools, makes Farragut a premier community.

Our community is home to just over 22,500 people who love our small town atmosphere, abundant parks and open space.
