The Town of Farragut will sponsor the 20^th annual Farragut Golf Tournament on Friday, Oct. 3, 2008, at The Landmark at Avalon Golf Club. The tournament is open to the public; cost is $65 per player and includes the green fee, golf cart, door prizes and lunch. Registration and a bar-b-q lunch will begin at the clubhouse at 11:30 a.m. The tournament will begin at 1:30 p.m. with a shotgun start.

Players can bring a foursome or pair or be paired with others. Prizes will be awarded to the first place team, as well as to the player with the longest drive and the one closest to the pin.

The Landmark at Avalon Golf Club is located two miles west of Farragut on Highway 70W in Lenoir City. The deadline for tournament registration and payment is Friday, Sept. 26.
