Town of Farragut Now Accepting Teams for 2010 Sand Volleyball Leagues

What:  The Town of Farragut is now accepting registrations for spring sand
volleyball leagues to include a Competitive Coed League, Recreational Coed
League and Intermediate Coed League, with teams consisting of four to six
players. In addition, registration is now open for the summer Open
Competitive Two-Person League. The competitive leagues require a higher
skill level and a greater adherence to the rules than the other leagues. Each
coed team must play with at least two women on the court at all times. 
 
The Intermediate Coed League is for players that have limited beach
experience and are developing their competitive game. The Open Two-
Person Competitive League, which will include two seasons from June -
September, will be self-officiated, with teams rotating officiating jobs. This
league is open to any combination of gender per team. All leagues include six
regular season matches and a post-season tournament. Registrations are also
being accepted now for the summer and fall leagues.
 
When:  Spring deadline to register and pay: Tuesday, March 23 at 5 p.m. 
Spring Competitive Coed League: Mondays, April 12 - May 24
Spring Recreational Coed League: Tuesdays, April 13 - May 25
Spring Intermediate Coed League: Thursdays, April 15 - May 27
Summer Open Competitive Two-Person League: Wednesdays, June 9 -
Sept. 15
 
Where:  Mayor Bob Leonard Park 301 Watt Road
 
How:  Cost of each coed league is $135 per team. Teams may play in only one
league. Cost for the Open Competitive Two-Person League is $50 per team,
