The Sudanese American Soccer Federation will be hosting their 20th annual championship at Mayor Bob Leonard Park Nov. 26-28.
The SASF is a non-profit organization based in North America that operates as an amateur soccer league for young adults. Teams from more than 16 states will be gathering at Mayor Bob Leonard Park to compete for the championship.
Sudanese cuisine will be available for all in attendance. Merchandise will be for sale throughout the tournament. The tournament directors ask that all attendees wear masks and practice social distancing during the event. They will be conducting temperature screenings as a precaution.
Mayor Bob Leonard Park is located at 301 N. Watt Rd. The tournament will be held Thursday, Nov. 26 (10:00 a.m.-8:00 p.m.), Friday, Nov. 27 (10:00 a.m.-8:00 p.m.) and Saturday, Nov. 28 (10:00 a.m.-8:00 p.m., Awards Ceremony at 9:00 p.m.) Admission is free and the public is invited to watch this championship level play.
