  1. Watercolor Fundamentals

    August 17, 2020, 2:00 PM - 3:00 PM @ Farragut Community Center

    Session 1: 2-3 p.m. on Aug. 17, 24, and 31. Registration deadline: Aug. 14. Session 2: 2-3 p.m. Sept. 14, 21, and 28. Registration deadline: Sept. 11. Fee for each session (three classes) is $37.50. Additional siblings in the household are $30. This class teaches watercolor fundamentals to help students gain confidence and skill with watercolors. Each three-week session starts with an overview of basic techniques and brush strokes, moving into paint fun and easy watercolor projects. If students sign up for subsequent sections, they will progress in their work. This class is geared for children and teens age 8-13. The maximum for any session is 10 students.     Instructor: Jenny Trussell, registered Children’s Yoga Teacher. Get your child moving with a delightful children’s yoga class! This 30 minute class, perfect for ages 2 – 6, will get your little yogi moving with love and laughter. Children will learn basic yoga poses, breathwork, and stress-management techniques in a kid-friendly style. Yoga will be taught through play and imagery with song, games, and imaginative lessons. A parent or supervising adult must stay in the designated room with the child, but will be given the option to participate or simply observe. Bring a mat for each participant, and plenty of smiles and silliness! Please register all participants of this class individually. Social distancing measures will be in place; limited to 30 participants.

  9. TWRA Boating Safety Education

    Pre-registration required at tn.gov/twra. Each session limited to 24 people. Due to social distancing, no walk-ins: pre-registration required. Any Tennessee resident born after Jan. 1, 1989, must show the TWRA-issued wallet Boating Safety Education Certificate as proof of successful completion of the TWRA Boating Safety exam. No other certificate will be accepted as meeting the requirements of the law. Please bring Type 600 boating safety exam permit, awriting utensil, and something to write on to class. The permit is available from any business (license agent) that sells hunting and fishing licenses (Walmart, sporting goods stores, bait stores, marinas, etc.).
